Rock

Even if I had one up on the competition, I would loose one every now and then just to make them think I didn't have a secret that allowed me supremecy on a weekly basis! I can only thank NASCAR for this obvious slight on the other guys as:

1. They build the C.O.T. engines (in the development stages) with the Gordon-Johnson TEAM OWNER... Then they release the design to the other teams.

2. The sanctioning body cuts "testing" for all teams to THREE times in a year (while said engine design team gets to test all they want in the "development" stages...)

3. Then they run said "design" with lack of "tests" at tracks formerly dominated by old school design, and assume everyobody has a level playing surface to "compete" with one another.

4. Cautions for all... and a Green-White checkered Christmas. . . anytime someone else has a chance. (i.e., the "Ryan Newman" factor).

I sure do miss the day when STOCK CAR was synonymous with actual stock cars, rolling off the show room floor and onto the track with only slight modification (and a few weeks of HEAVY testing on actual race surface). Back when it was a question of what team kept the best notes, NOT under the auspicious eyes of the sanctioning body. And BESIDES, speaking of bodies, the new C.O.T. looks an awful lot like the old Opel... Forget this love-bug fest as a nice thought, leave "aero-equal" to the video games. Let those STOCK PUPPIES breathe. There are some REALLY exciting designs out there now on the showroom floor, I just want to see what they can really do. And that's what NASCAR was founded upon.

It's not how close they can run (in the rest of the pack behind the engine designer-team), it's who IS the better driver, in the BETTER car. That is a race. THIS is a parade of drivers, driving in circles between caution flags and commercial breaks.

T.V commercial,everyone using a credit card,one guy breaks out the cash,chaos,rythm broken!!! what are they saying?the guy using the cash is a slacker,disruptive,or is he a rebel? I can see the bumper sticker now,"when cash is outlawed,only outlaws will have cash".carrying cash means you dont have to worry about identity theft,carrying cash in your shorts means you never have to worry about anyone ever borrowing money from you!

Wow... can you believe that we've been rockin' the Inland Northwest for almost 9 years now?

...granted, I wasn't here at the beginning. I was working the 7p-11p show at the local rock station in Kalispell, MT. But I have family here and every few months I would drive over and scan the local stations to see what Spokane was listening to. I happened to be here the weekend prior to when "94.5 KHTQ - The Best Hits of the 80s and 90s" became Rock 94½... and I don't remember the specifics but I thought it was the oddest radio I had ever heard. They were doing some sort of spoof or parody or something for the weekend, and then first thing Monday morning G.A. launched the Rock. He of course was here before the format flip (as we radio geeks call it), which was also odd because I remembered listening to Rock 106 back in the day when I would come visit, and had a hard time putting G.A. and "pop" music on the same frequency in my mind. But apparently he had enough pull with the company to talk them into letting 94.5 become louder and heavier, and we haven't looked back since!!

Nine years in the radio biz is quite a long time, especially nowadays. In the 70s and 80s, there weren't nearly as many stations, and each one (two at most) were owned by its own company. And they usually stuck around awhile. Since the 94.5 frequency went on the air back in the early 90s, it's played Country, different variations of Pop, and now Rock. And I can count the radio stations that are doing the same thing now as they did then, one one hand. Some have changed 3 and 4 times. And here we still are, and we truly owe it to YOU!

Thanks for entering our photo contests, our Most Pit All Stars, a HUGE thanks for Rating our Rock each week.. and thanks for allowing us to do this for a living instead of having to work real jobs. And thanks for selling out so many shows, that is a driving force in why we've had so many concerts in the last few years. If you keep attending the shows, they'll keep coming to town!

We are in crisis mode!!!! Cavemen,K X L Y 4 on A B C(ya,I know its our mothership and I sound like a real buttkiss) but hey...I love this show!!!!! everytime I like a show,its cancelled...please,give it a chance..tuesday nites,8pm....K X L Y 4....cavemen and cavewomen gettin it on,surely this is more exciting than Dancing with the stars!!!! I have an idea for making dancing with the stars a little more tolerable.....what do you think of dirty dancing with the Porn stars!!!!!

What is up with all the cover tunes lately? There seems to be a rash of them..and trust me, your Krazy Auntie Karla, is not a big fan of cover tunes!! I mean why go into the

past for songs!! Godsmack covers Zeppelin, Disturbed do Genesis, Killswitch Engage cover Dio..and soon Mudvayne cover a Police tune!!!! Why?! Isn't the first time enuff??!!! Have'nt we already heard it a million times (especially if it was a big hit?) Who has ever heard a cover tune that was better than the original?! When I hear a cover tune I feel as if I am watching a very slow, boring re-run, of a slow boring TV show..I already know the melody, the words , and the ending..what's the point..is it fun for bands..is it laziness, is it the "in" thing to do??!! Why??!! Gee I feel so much better now :-) ...I think I might be a "bitch blogger"...Keep rockin'!! (Hopefully with NEW songs!) Kak

Halo 3 is here.....Guitar Hero 3 on the way.....N F L...Cowboys are Rockin,Steelers in trouble since introducing the new mascot...Steely mcbeem(wasnt he a porn star)........major league baseball playoffs...I am looking for a Cubs/Yankess world series...although the Cubs face the curse of the Goat,and now since Stoney the 49ers fan picked the cubs,the curse of the stoner!!!!!
