Who Knew Marble.....
If you've driven down Division lately you may have noticed a billboard with a message that will certainly make you take a second look.
The billboard , placed strategically near a diamond store, reads "a diamond lasts forever too, but you can't consummate your marriage on it." What! Did I really just read that. If anything it caught me off guard, and with that the billboard did its job- it caught my attention. The advertisment is for Mario & Son, a local granite, marble and quartz company. The owner of the company says they were trying to be funny. However, he says some of their suppliers don't like the slogan and now want it taken down. So, the company will take it down this week... what do you think? Is it going too far or is clever and funny? There's a lot of mixed reaction. Is Spokane ready for a racy billboard? Would this fly in say, San Franciso? Just a thought.

I think Mario & Son have done an excellent job on advertising with this billboard. I think that if our current society thinks this is racy then why is promiscuity and living together so widly acceptable. This also promotes love within marriage.

LOL !!!
And the priest that says to the congregation to save sex to consummate marriage should be arrested and the bible banned for vulgarity .
Would you rather it says " Prevent infectious diseases , get stoned with us , its cleaner ! "
Yeah , they probably like that better because it doesnt say consummate . That sounds to much like religion !!
LOL
Better yet , lets refer to it as the 'Angus ' LOL .
( for those that have heard the 'Jack in the Box' ad referring to their 'Sirloin '.
Point of information Angus = Beef breed of cow
Sirlion is a cut of meat obtainable from Dairy or meat breeds of cow but since ad does not say 'Beef' it could also be pig , sheep , horse or even dog !!!!!
( hmmmm Does Michael Vick have stock in 'Jack in the Box ? )
Its advertising folks , then dont buy it !!!!!
Like going to McDonalds for hamburger , cheeseburger , big mac or 1/4 pounder w/ 100% beef ?!?!?!? Hold on ! If its is 100% beef , what are the others !?!?!?

Offensive? This ad merely states an innocent, yet absolute truth...unless of course fire ants, gnats or other small creatures engage in the ritual of marriage...in which case, I guess they COULD actually consummate their marriages on a diamond....which would in fact make this a ridiculous headline.
So yes, come to think of it, I agree...this billboard should have been pulled!
Also...just curious, why did you pick San Francisco?
